Shatin Inhabitants Association (SIA)

The Shatin Inhabitants Association (SIA) is a charitable organisation established in 1992 with the main mission of enhancing social welfare in the local community, especially for the disadvantaged. We have been serving the Shatin community for 30 years and have accumulated over 36,500 loyal members of different age groups.

We are one of the government-funded District Service Teams, primarily serving residents of Sha Tin, Tai Po, Sai Kung, and the North District.

Services provided by the District Service Team (New Territories East)

• Consultation and counselling services
• Organizing promotional activities to promote the Regulated Tenancies of Subdivided Units to tenants and the public
• Organizing promotional activities to promote the Basic Housing Units Ordinance, as well as information and applications for Transitional Housing and Light Public Housing
• Organizing volunteer teams to conduct home visits for tenants of subdivided units
